What this is

createimage2 is an independent web app that lets you generate images with GPT Image 2 (gpt-image-2), the image model OpenAI released on April 21, 2026. We provide a simple browser-based interface, pre-paid credit packs, and an honest pricing model — so you can produce 4K AI images without subscribing to multiple platforms or piecing together CLI calls.

We are not affiliated with OpenAI. "GPT Image 2" and "gpt-image-2" are model names that refer to OpenAI's product. We pay for access via kie.ai, which routes requests to OpenAI's API at scale, and we resell that capacity at a transparent markup that covers infrastructure, customer support, and the convenience of a polished UI.

Why we built it

Most AI image services lock features behind monthly subscriptions, charge for unused capacity, or hide their underlying model. We wanted a tool that is:

  • Honest about what's underneath — every image is generated by gpt-image-2, not a "fine-tuned proprietary model" that's actually the same upstream API.
  • Pay-as-you-go by default — credit packs that never expire, so a casual user paying $3 once isn't subsidizing a power user paying nothing.
  • Commercial-rights clear — every paid image comes with full commercial use rights, no per-image upcharges, no "personal use only" footnotes.
  • Multilingual without compromise — GPT Image 2's text-rendering accuracy works across CJK, Cyrillic, Arabic, and other scripts. We expose that directly without a "language premium" tier.

If you've used DALL-E 3, Midjourney, or Stable Diffusion, you know the trade-offs. createimage2 is our take on a fourth option — narrowly focused on one model, executed well.

How it works

When you generate an image, we send your prompt to kie.ai's gpt-image-2-text-to-image (or gpt-image-2-image-to-image) endpoint. kie.ai forwards it to OpenAI, which runs the model and returns the image. We then store a copy in our R2 bucket so it stays available in your gallery, and you can download or delete it any time.

We do not train any models on your prompts or images. We do not share prompts with third parties beyond what's required to fulfill the generation. See Privacy Policy for specifics.

Who runs this

createimage2 is a small team building independent tools. The site is operated by mindfulunlimited. We're focused on shipping product, not on raising venture capital — your subscription dollars and credit purchases are the only revenue, and they fund the engineering directly.
